Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission recently reacted after a clergyman identified as Reverend Bobbi Paschal was murdered by bandits in Kaduna State on Wednesday November 19th, 2025. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that Senator Godswill Akpabio will refer to his death as just a crime.
The news regarding the brutal murder of Reverend Father Bobbi Paschal, a Parish Priest in the Kushe Gugdu community of Kaduna State by bandits generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
The Parish Priest, who was the resident clergyman of the Saint Stephen’s Catholic Church in the community, was apprehended and brutally murdered by unidentified bandits believed to be members of a local terrorist group.
His demise as expected, sparked massive outrage from the general public, with the former chairman of the national human rights commission and renowned human rights lawyer, Chidi Odinkalu condemning his death with the strongest possible words.
However, according to the statements which were published on his official X handle, he pointed out that Senate President Godswill Akpabio will make light of the attack by referring to the death of the clergyman as just a crime.
