Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission recently reacted after the police served a summon to former Kaduna state governor and ADC coalition Chieftain, Nasiru El-Rufai. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the former governor hunted him six years ago.
The summon served to the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasiru El-Rufai and several members of the ADC coalition in the state by the Nigeria Police Force generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
According to the police, the former Kaduna governor and his ADC coalition members were responsible for disturbing the peace of the state. This followed a meeting held few days ago, with security agencies staunchly opposed to the gathering.
Reacting, Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights activist and lawyer in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, made a mockery of the summon served to Nasiru El-Rufai.
Chidi Odinkalu, a well known critic of the former governor, disclosed that six and half years ago, the same Nasiru El-Rufai haunted him after accusing him of incitement and criminal conspiracy.
Mockingly, he pointed out that now that he was out of power, the table had turned and he can no longer carry out his nefarious acts.
“6 and a half yrs ago, El-Rufai arranged to have me abducted on specious charges of incitement and criminal conspiracy. He has been out of power a mere 2 years. Now the shoe is on the other foot…..” He wrote.
