Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission recently reacted in strong terms after police officers were captured escorting popular Nollywood actress Angela Okorie during a road walk. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he asked a striking question regarding the patriotic duties of security personnel.
Popular Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie caused a stir after she shared a beautiful moment with her entourage as they engaged on a roadside exercise. However, her actions earned her public criticism.
Reacting, Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights lawyer and former chairman of the human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, found her actions treacherous.
The video, which was shared by the Actress on her official Instagram handle, it can be recalled captured a moment when she was running, with police officers also in motion, closely following her.
According to Chidi Odinkalu, the actions of the security personnel were condemnable. He sarcastically pointed out that it was the patriotic duty of the police to protect the assets of the Republic (referring to Angela Okorie).
