Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has yet again, tackled the former Rivers State governor and FCT minister Nyesom Wike over the state of the federal capital territory. According to his statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that from Asokoro to other noble parts of the FCT were littered with rubbish.
The public spat between the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister Nyesom Wike and Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and lawyer had degenerated as in a recent statement, the human rights activist came for the jugular.
This came following Nyesom Wike’s efforts to refurbish and modernize the FCT with several projects completed just within months of overseeing the affairs of the federal capital territory. However, Chidi Odinkalu was unimpressed.
According to his statements which were shared on his official X handle, the former chairman of the national human rights commission opined that the noble parts within the FCT, notably from Asokoro through Nyanya to Wuye were littered with rubbish.
He further criticized the FCT minister for making mistakes in his policies as according to him, he was awarding illegal contracts and siphoning public funds. Conclusively, he pointed out that keeping the FCT from drowning in sewage was too much a task for Nyesom Wike.
“From Asokoro through Nyanya to Wuye, Wike’s Abuja is full of shit wherever you go. He mistakes running a modern city with awarding crony contracts and plundering public money to advance his inebriation..” he wrote.
