Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights lawyer and former chairman of the national human rights commission recently reacted after it was announced that Cameroon President Paul Biya will contest for presidency at 92 years. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he marveled at his actions.
The president of Cameroon, Paul Biya left many stunned after he announced his intentions to contest the next general elections as the president of the country.
Paul Biya, at the age of 92 had been at the helm of affairs since 1982, a period where the nation had experienced mixed fortunes both in economy and general relations.
The announcement however, triggered widespread mixed reactions from different quarters, including Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and lawyer.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, the former chairman of the national human rights commission revisited Paul Biya’s credentials.
