A lawyer and human rights activist, Chidi Odinkalu has taken to his official X account on Thursday to react after a man was sentenced to 9 months Imprisonment for stealing yam.
According to the post that Odinkalu made on his page, the 40-year-old man who goes by the name, Cletus Gandu was sentenced by a court in Kaduna state for stealing two tubers of yam.
Reacting to the judgement of the court, Chidi Odinkalu said the man was sentenced to 9 months Imprisonment for stealing two tubers of yam meanwhile, the former governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello is free after making away with billions.
According to Chidi Odinkalu on his official X account;
“A Magistrates’ Court in Kafanchan in Southern Kaduna, today sentenced Cletus Gandu, a 40-year-old man, to nine months in prison for stealing two tubers of yam. Meanwhile Yahaya Bello is free after making away with 10s of billions or lots more”….Vïêw–Môrê
