Palestinian activist and former Hamas insider, Mosab Hassan Yousef, has weighed in on the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, describing it as a strategic masterstroke by U.S. President Donald Trump and a humiliating defeat for Iran’s leadership.
Yousef described Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as having been forced into accepting the ceasefire as a desperate measure to avoid further Israeli retaliation, especially from Mossad. “Desperate Ayatollah took the thin lifeline to save his own neck from the Mossad’s sharp blade,” he wrote, adding that by doing so, Khamenei effectively acknowledged Israeli air superiority and Iran’s military limitations.
He concluded that Trump was “without a doubt the biggest winner,” while the Ayatollah stood out as “the biggest loser.”
Yousef also suggested that Israel, after achieving substantial success, should take a break and allow its intelligence agency Mossad, the Israeli Air Force (IAF), and the public front to rejuvenate.
