The Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Ademola Oluwatosin Ajayi, recently made a lighthearted remark about the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, General Christopher Musa, during an event. Ajayi humorously shared that General Musa had underestimated him after being denied a Canadian visa, a situation that sparked his playful retaliation.
In a video shared by Symfoni TV, Ajayi recounted how he invited General Musa to be the chairman of an event. However, at the same time, General Musa applied for a Canadian visa. Ajayi jokingly claimed that, using his extensive experience in covert operations, he and his team ensured that Musa’s visa application was denied. He emphasized that his 35 years of service had honed his skills in working discreetly, especially in situations requiring a covert approach. Ajayi expressed that had it not been for his current political appointment, he would be retiring by April, yet his experience continued to play a pivotal role in his leadership.
Ajayi went on to say, “General Musa you made a mistake with me, when we invited you to this program to be the chairman you now decided to go and apply for Canadian visa, so we covertly made sure we denied you. So my dear General, next time when you hear of DSS and under a leadership like mine who has swag in doing the job, don’t underrate us.” He jokingly assured the General that if he were to visit him, he could secure his Canadian visa.
