Political commentator, Mahdi Shehu has stated that President Bola Tinubu should appoint the former governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello as the Minister of Finance.
He made the statement in a viral video from 1.13, that was posted on the official X handle of NEWS CENTRAL TV on Thursday.
He made the statement while responding to a question about the President reshuffling his cabinet members.
In the viral video, Mahdi Shehu stated that none of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s minister has performed. He said there is no sector in the country that is working.
He said rather than reshuffling the cabinet, Tinubu should appoint more people. He said he should appoint Yahaya Bello as the Minister of Finance so that he can continue from where he stopped.
Here is what Mahdi Shehu said;
“I think rather than changing the cabinet, he should increase the cabinet. I recommend he gives more people employment. I recommend that he appoints Yahaya Bello as the Minister of Finance so that he can continue from where he stopped. He can also appoint Seyi his son. Because what is the difference between Seyi and a minister?”.
