Dele Farotimi did not hide his displeasure as he reacted to Daniel Bwala’s latest comments on national television. His reaction captured deep frustration over what he sees as a complete turnaround from Bwala’s earlier stance.
During an interview on Channels Television, Daniel Bwala, now a presidential aide to President Bola Tinubu, responded to questions about those calling for the president to resign due to rising insecurity. When asked if it was fair for citizens to demand Tinubu’s resignation just as Tinubu once demanded the resignation of former President Goodluck Jonathan over similar issues, Bwala insisted that the situations were not the same.
He said the call Tinubu made years ago was legitimate, but the current calls for resignation are not. Bwala explained that the president already has solutions in progress and is actively working to address insecurity.
Farotimi later reacted through his X handle, expressing strong discomfort over Bwala’s defence of the government. His frustration comes from watching someone who once criticized the administration now speak in its favour after joining the president’s team. To him, this shift represents a complete contradiction of Bwala’s previous beliefs.
