In an interview with S24 Television, Ahmed said Buhari joined the army at the age of 19 and fought in the Nigerian Civil War by the time he was 25. He said Buhari became a military governor at 33 and was appointed a minister at 34. He said by age 38, Buhari had already become a General Officer Commanding (GOC), one of the highest positions in the military.
Ahmed said at 41, Buhari became the Head of State and at 52, he was appointed chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF). He said Buhari officially entered politics at 60 and was elected President of Nigeria at the age of 72. He said Buhari died two years after leaving office, at the age of 82
In Ahmed’s words: “I used to tell him when he was alive, and I said it in my tribute to him after he passed, that he is one of the most privileged Nigerians I know who lived on this earth for 82 years. In those 82 years he joined the army are 19, went to war at 25, became a governor at 33, became a minister at 34, became a GOC at 38, became Head of State at 41. He became chairman of PTF at 52, joined politics at 60, got elected president at 72, finished being president after 8 years at 80 and died exactly two years later”
