In a candid interview on Arise TV from 10:43, a Lawyer and former member, APC presidential campaign council, Jesutega Onokpasa criticized the lack of inclusivity in President Bola Tinubu’s government, describing it as “freaky.”
He noted that loyal supporters have been hesitant to speak up due to their admiration for Tinubu, but expressed concern over the underrepresentation of certain regions and ethnic groups in key appointments.
Onokpasa questioned the absence of individuals from areas where the president garnered significant support during the election, such as the Niger Delta, Igbos, Hausas, Fulanis, and the Middle Belt.
Instead, he observed that the government appears to be dominated by individuals from Lagos and Osun states, where the president’s party lost in the polls, which Onokpasa believes is an insult to those who have actively supported the administration.
According to Jesutega Onokpasa, “You see, the way this government is formed, it’s really freaky. Many of us, out of our love for Asiwaju, have not been complaining about it. But let me ask, where are the Niger Deltans in the government? Where are the Igbos? Where are the Hausas and Fulanis? We won in these places. Even in the Middle Belt, where are the appointments for those who voted for us? Exactly! We won in Kano, we won in Bauchi, we won in the East despite all the odds. Where are those people in this government? Instead, what do we have? A government of Lagos and Osun states, places where we even lost! What an insult to the rest of us who supported this administration.”
