Shehu Sani, a respected human rights activist and former Kaduna central senatorial district lawmaker has taken to his official X handle to make a remarkable comment regarding the reports circulating on media platforms that INEC was being closely monitored by the United States. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the people might not be satisfied with external interference.

The news regarding the interest of the United States over the recent de-recognition of the African Democratic Congress, ADC by INEC generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.

However, Senator Shehu Sani, a renowned human rights activist and former federal lawmaker in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, while addressing the effects of external interference, made a remarkable comment regarding those who were in support.

According to his statements, the outspoken former federal lawmaker pointed out that those who kicked against taking Nigeria’s security issues to the United States were the first to report INEC to them.

He also maintained that when the United States sends a delegation to work closely with INEC, the people should not complain of the outcome. However, the United States, according to Senator Shehu Sani might not be interested in Nigeria’s elections.

“Those who are critical of those who took our security issues to the US Congress are now working towards taking our elections issues to the US Congress.
