ADC Chieftain and former presidential aspirant Chief Dele Momodu has expressed sympathy for President Bola Tinubu following his response last night to the allegations of Christian genocide in Nigeria.

Speaking in an interview with Channels TV from 8:34, Momodu acknowledged the difficult position facing the president. “When I saw him speaking last night, I must confess that I felt for him, because this is not the best of times to be the president of Nigeria. He now has to put on his thinking cap for himself, for his team, and for all of us in Nigeria. Two weeks ago, if anybody told you that the president would be in this precarious situation, all you would have said is, ‘No, it’s not possible,'” he said.

Momodu noted that the president is under significant pressure and must make strategic decisions to navigate the crisis.

He urged President Tinubu to consult with Nigeria’s elder statesmen for guidance, specifically recommending former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He argued that figures like Obasanjo, Anyaoku, and retired general Danjuma possess the global recognition and respect necessary to communicate Nigeria’s position effectively to international audiences.

According to him, leveraging the experience and international credibility of these elder statesmen and influential Christian leaders could help Nigeria navigate the diplomatic crisis more effectively. View, More,
