A video that was posted on the official X account of Channels TV on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 has captured the moment that Nobel laureate prize winner, Professor Wole Soyinka was speaking about the military coup that was foiled in Benin Republic.
This came after the Nigerian government sent soldiers and war planes to Benin Republic to remove coup plotters.
Reacting to the report, Wole Soyinka stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu shouldn’t have sent the Nigerian Army and Air force to confront the coup plotters in Benin Republic.
He said Tinubu should have sent his son, Seyi Tinubu to the country.
According to Channels TV, the Nobel laureate prize winner said that;
“President Tinubu didn’t have to send the Air Force and the military to deal with the insurrection or stop the coup in Benin; he should have sent his son, Seyi Tinubu, instead.” View, More,
