The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike has stated that he didn’t call the Nigerian military a fool.
This statement was contained in a viral video from 37.50 that was posted on the YouTube page of CHANNELS TV on November 13, 2025.
The FCT Minister claimed that many people didn’t understand what he meant when he used the word during his confrontation with Lieutenant A.M Yerima. He said he will never disrespect the Nigerian Army.
Nyesom Wike stated that he is fully aware of all the sacrifices of the Nigerian Army in fighting terrorism and insurgency.
According to Nyesom Wike;
“Those who are talking and writing junks saying I called the boy a fool should go and find out what happened. What I meant is this, you can not be carrying out an illegal order. I didn’t say military is a fool.
“I wouldn’t have said that. I know the role of the military. The role they play in this country. What they have passed through in fighting insurgency and terrorism”. View, More,
