Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has taken to his official X handle to explain the consequences of the actions of the Judge who infamously ordered the legal representative to renowned activist, Omoyele Sowore on his knees. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that his actions were not judicial.
Many were left stunned after a federal high court Judge in Abuja ordered the legal representative to respected human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore on his knees inside a courtroom.
The incident, which triggered mixed reactions from different quarters, was widely condemned as many found the actions of the Judge not only contentious, but a deviation from judicial processes.
However, Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights lawyer and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, pointed out that the actions of the Judge were not judicial.
