Sani highlighted the pervasive influence of state governors over the legislative arm, suggesting that executive dominance has undermined the democratic process since 1999.

The exact words of the author, playwright, a human rights activist and the President of the Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria read, “members of States Houses of Assembly can never reject an executive Bill from their state Governors or else the speaker will be impeached, and if you are a member too critical of the Governor, you may earn suspension.
