A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Uche Consult, Architect Uche Rochas, has taken to X (formerly known as Twitter) to speak about the possibility of Atiku Abubakar, the former presidential candidate of the PDP, and Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), contesting under the same ticket in 2027.
According to a post on the official X handle of Uche Rochas, the PDP member said the former Anambra governor and the former vice president share a longstanding friendship. He added that popularity should not be the consideration for who should be the presidential candidate; rather, the consideration should be how Nigeria will be saved. He suggested that Peter Obi complement Atiku’s ticket in 2027.
Uche Rochas had written, “Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar share a longstanding friendship, with Peter Obi having served as Atiku’s running mate in the 2019 presidential election. He can still take on the role of Vice President now. This isn’t about popularity, intelligence, or agility, it’s about experience and the law of nature. Our priority should be to save Nigeria first.”
