In a recent video on Facebook from 02:20, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has made a startling revelation, alleging that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu personally intervened to cancel two federal cases filed against her, describing them as politically motivated. The senator claimed that the President instructed the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) to withdraw the cases after acknowledging they were products of political witch-hunting.

In a recent video statement, Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central Senatorial District, explained that despite the presidential directive, certain individuals within the system, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, continued to target her unfairly. “Yes, I know I have two federal government cases against me,” she said. “Of which the President of Nigeria instructed the AGF to cancel the cases, to withdraw the cases.”

She went further to assert that the instruction came directly from President Tinubu himself after he recognized the cases as unjust. “No, hold on please. This President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, actually spoke with Godswill Akpabio to terminate all the cases against me because he admitted, he agreed that they were politically witch-hunting cases,” Akpoti-Uduaghan stated.

The senator suggested that her ongoing harassment at airports, including the repeated seizure of her international passport, may be linked to lingering political grudges despite the President’s intervention. She questioned why her rights were still being violated if the country’s leader had already ordered a cessation of hostilities.

“Hold on,” she said in the recording, pausing to emphasize the weight of her statement. “If the President himself acknowledged these cases were baseless, why am I still being subjected to humiliation and intimidation? This must stop.”

Akpoti-Uduaghan’s claim has stirred public interest and renewed debates about political persecution, selective justice, and abuse of power within the Nigerian system. View, More,
