Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, has accused Iran of misleading the international community about the true capabilities of its missile program, warning that recent developments reveal a far greater threat than previously acknowledged.
Speaking in an interview from 8:27 on Fox News on Sunday, March 22, 2026, Danon said that ongoing military exchanges have exposed discrepancies between Iran’s past claims and its demonstrated capabilities.
“They are also exposing their own lies. For many years, they claimed their ballistic missiles were purely defensive and had a range of only about 1,000 miles. What we have seen recently is that those missiles can actually reach distances of more than 2,000 miles,” he said.
