The former First Lady of Ondo state, Betty Akeredolu has taken to her official X account on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 to react after the building of Peter Obi’s younger brother was demolished in Lagos state.
According to the post that Peter Obi shared, he said the property was brought down without proper legal documents.
According to Peter Obi;
“I am just shocked. How did Nigeria get to this level of lawlessness? What kind of country are we trying to build when the rights of citizens, their lives, their properties, and their voices are trampled upon daily?”
Reacting, Betty Akeredolu sympathized with the former governor of Anambra state over the demolition of his brother’s property.
The former First Lady stated that the Ondo state government has also demolished a monument that was built by her husband, the former governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu.
She criticized the governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa for approving the demolition of the monument that was built in memory of those who lost their lives during the Owo massacre.

According to Betty Akeredolu on her official X account;
“That monument, built by my late husband, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, a son of Owo, was a solemn tribute to lives violently cut short in a house of worship”.
