The former First Lady of Ondo state, Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu has reacted after the senator representing Kogi Central at the National Assembly, Senator Natasha Akpoti announced that she will be returning to her constituency.

This is coming after the lawmaker was suspended for six months over the violation of Senate rules.

Betty Akeredolu reacted after the former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili praised the people of Kogi Central for standing by Natasha Akpoti since she was suspended by the Senate.

Here is what Oby Ezekwesili wrote on her official X handle;

“Great to see that Senator Natasha Akpoti is being welcomed home by her constituents. That’s awesome! Legitimacy of any elective position is conferred only by the people one represents. Kudos to the good people of Kogi Central for standing by their legitimate representative”.

However, Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu has now shared her thoughts. In a post that she made on her official X handle on Tuesday, she said people should stand their ground in the face of tyranny.

“In the face of tyranny, stand your ground”.
