Senator Orji Uzor Kalu spoke about his connection to Nnamdi Kanu in a recent interview on Arise TV from 48:34. He revealed that he appointed Kanu’s father as the Eze, or traditional ruler, of their community, highlighting their long-standing relationship. Before Kalu became governor, Kanu’s father was a customer who purchased tobacco from him.

He expressed his ongoing efforts to advocate for Kanu, noting that he had pleaded with President Buhari and other security officials, as well as urging families to allow the judicial process to unfold.
