The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga has reacted to report claiming that the federal government has signed the $150 billion Samao deal.
According to DAILY TRUST, the agreement reportedly has some clauses that compel underdeveloped and developing nations to support the agitations by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community for recognition, as condition for getting financial and other supports from advanced societies.
The report further stated that the agreement is gradually gaining traction, despite opposition by many countries that cherish Islamic and Christianity values, in addition to the sensitivity of their cultures.
Reacting to the report, Bayo Onanuga stated that Daily Trust got the story wrong. He said the newspaper was bent on painting the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu black. Onanuga said the media organization ought to have dropped the story following the explanation given by Adebiyi, on behalf of the Ministry of Budget and Planning.
Here is what Bayo Onanuga wrote on his page;
“Daily Trust got the story about Nigeria’s endorsement of the Samoa agreement wrong. If not that the paper, as usual, was bent on painting the Tinubu government black, it ought to have dropped the story following the explanation given by Adebiyi, on behalf of the Ministry of Budget and Planning. But it went ahead to publish a story that was already dead as dodo”.
