A man from Bauchi State has made headlines after setting out on a journey to Lagos with the intention of presenting a Sallah ram to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to reports shared on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the man, identified as Isa Mohammed, says his gesture is a show of appreciation and support for the President ahead of the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Isa, who spoke briefly to the press before his departure, mentioned that he had been planning the visit for weeks. He stated that the Sallah ram is not only a gift but a symbol of his belief in the leadership of President Tinubu.
“I want to use this Sallah period to thank our President. This is my personal way of showing support,” Isa said.
Photos circulating online show Isa standing beside the ram, which he plans to transport safely to Lagos. His action has sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians online. While some see it as a kind gesture, others believe it is unnecessary, especially during a time when many citizens are facing economic hardship.
As of now, it is not yet confirmed if the Presidency is aware of Isa’s visit or whether arrangements have been made for him to meet the President.
With the Sallah celebration just around the corner, Isa’s story has drawn attention to the different ways Nigerians express loyalty and support for political leaders.
