According to a report by the Punch News on Friday, November 14, 2025, Bashar Altine, a Sokoto-based public analyst and security expert, has appealed that if allowing the president of America, Donald Trump, and his men to invade Nigeria will help us end Bello Turji and other terrorists, Nigerians should welcome it.
Altine emphasised that Nigeria needs peace and stability, not empty words or politics. He pointed out that those in Abuja or Lagos don’t understand the pain of losing loved ones or living in fear. People in places like Sokoto face death and displacement daily. He also said that the Nigerian military is doing its best, but these bandits are organised and well-armed.
He emphasised that Nigeria would welcome U.S. support in combating terrorism, as long as it respects the country’s sovereignty. He believes that with military intelligence, technology, and tactical operations, Nigeria can dismantle terrorist camps and restore peace. He said there is nothing shameful in asking for help, pointing out that America has supported other nations in worse crises.
