In a video recently shared by Daily Trust TV from 11:45, Mariam Suleiman, a survivor of a bandit attack in Jibia, Katsina State shared her experience and how she escaped.
Mariam recounted how she was among 23 passengers traveling to Jibia when their vehicle was ambushed by bandits. She said the bandits forced everyone into the bush, where several people were killed. She said she witnessed four people being murdered right in front of her, and she was next in line.
Mariam said when the bandits ordered her to lie down so they could slit her throat, she refused and ran for her life. She disclosed that one of the bandits chased her and managed to injure her face and leg with a knife, but she kept running and was fortunate enough to escape with her life.
In Mariam’s words: “We were 23 passengers heading to Jibia when we were waylaid and taken to the bush by some bandits. When they took us to the bush, several persons were killed. I saw them kill four people in my presence and I was the 5th person they wanted to kill”….Vìêw–Morê
