Colonel Olayinka Olayanju, the commandant of the Oyo State Security Network, also known as Amotekun, has shared how his team stopped a kidnapping attempt in Iseyin Local Government Area.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Edmund Obilo, Olayanju said that some bandits tried to kidnap a woman in a place called Abugaga. He said the bandits pretended they wanted to buy a drink, but instead grabbed the woman.

Olayanju stated that the woman knew Amotekun officers were nearby, so she raised an alarm and her shout for help allowed his men to respond quickly. He said his men exchanged gunfire with the bandits who eventually fled the scene.
