Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has clearly stated that his main reason for joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is not merely to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next presidential election.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television from 16:14, he explained that there would be no point in removing the current President if the incoming administration were to perform even worse than the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“There is no point taking out Bola Tinubu if you are going to replace him with a more evil government. There is no point.” Babachir Lawal stated.
He essentially meant that he is more interested in seeing the current administration replaced with a far better one that would genuinely serve the needs of the Nigerian people.
Moreover, Lawal described the APC government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an evil one, claiming that past administrations in the country were more accommodating and better to the citizens.
His words: “When you classify something as evil, it is relative to what it is not. By calling them an evil government, it is relative to past governments that we have had, implying that past governments were better and more accommodating.” View, More,
