A member of the Northern Elders Forum, NEF and former Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Political Matters, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has taken to his official X account on Monday, July 28, 2025 to send a message to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and Nigerian leaders ahead of the forthcoming presidential election in 2027.
According to the post that Hakeem Baba-Ahmed shared on his official X handle, he told INEC what is likely to happen if the election is rigged.
Hakeem Baba-Ahmed stated that if the election is not free and fair, it may lead to the worst crisis in the country.
The former presidential aide said the election must reflect the will of the people. He said nobody wants crisis in the country.
According to Hakeem Baba-Ahmed on his official X account;
“Anything short of the most transparent elections will produce neither winners nor losers. Rigging will risk plunging this country into its worst crises. No one wants that”.
