In a recent prophetic message, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, cautioned President Bola Tinubu against making any move to replace Vice President Kashim Shettima, warning that such a decision would backfire politically.
The cleric, known for his outspoken political predictions, declared: “If you remove Shettima, it’s going to affect you; don’t listen to all these wrong advisers.”
Ayodele explained that attempts to change the vice-presidential arrangement could destabilize the current government and create unnecessary political crises. According to him, President Tinubu must resist the influence of individuals pushing for such a move, stressing that unity within the presidency is critical to the stability of the administration.
He added that the country is already facing deep challenges, including economic hardship and political tension, and warned that any action capable of worsening the situation would attract negative consequences.
“The President must be careful,” Ayodele said. “There are people around him giving wrong advice. If he listens to them and makes the mistake of dropping Shettima, it will not only affect his administration but also trigger unrest.”
Ayodele further urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for peace and stability, warning that the nation is at a delicate point ahead of the 2027 general elections. He stressed that political leaders must act with wisdom to avoid sparking fresh crises.
His remarks add to the ongoing debates about Nigeria’s political balance, particularly as opposition figures continue to question the capacity of the current government to manage the country’s economic and social problems.
