The former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has taken to his official X account to react to reports claiming that he has declared himself as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

This is coming after Umar Damagun was suspended as the acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic party.

Reacting, Ayodele Fayose disassociated himself from media reports claiming that he has declared himself as the chairman of the party.

He said he is not the chairman and he is not aspiring to become the chairman of PDP. He also clarified that he is not the only Fayose in Nigeria. He said there are many other people bearing the name.
