Paul Ibe, the senior special adviser on media to ADC Chieftain and Elderstateman, Atiku Abubakar recently reacted after an old tweet from President Tinubu condemning the arrest of former Kaduna State governor, Nasiru El-Rufai in Anambra State resurfaced online. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the former governor’s arrest was politically motivated.

The former governor of Kaduna State and ADC Chieftain, Nasiru El-Rufai was recently on the spotlight after he was slammed with a ten count charge by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC.

The charges leveled against the former governor which bordered around mismanagement of public funds however, triggered mixed reactions from different quarters as many believed his predicament was politically motivated.

In the midst of the controversies that trailed his predicament, an old tweet of president Tinubu, condemning his arrest in Anambra State resurfaced online, sparking fresh rounds of heated arguments.

According to the tweet by president Tinubu that had circulated on different media platforms, he pointed out that the arrest of the former governor was a blot on democracy.
