Dele Farotimi, a renowned human rights activist and writer has taken to his official X handle to react after he was about about the possibility of a team up between erstwhile Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi and ADC Chieftain, Atiku Abubakar. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the former Anambra governor will not commit such an act of shameless self denigration.
Many had touted the possibility of a another political romance between the former presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi in 2027.
However, respected human rights lawyer and writer, Dele Farotimi in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, while dismissing such notions, made a remarkable comment that indicated that the former Anambra governor’s political ambitions outweighs personal interests.
According to his statements, while replying to an X user identified as Richard who asked the curious question, he pointed out that himself will not be in support of a team up between the ADC Chieftain and the former Anambra governor.
He further pointed out that knowing who Peter Obi was, he (Obi) will not commit such an act of shameless self denigration. It can be recalled that a previous team up between the duo in 2019 had led to a catastrophic outing.
