Chief Bode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has appealed to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to exercise patience and prioritize national unity over personal ambition. Referring to Atiku’s repeated bids for the presidency, George emphasized that leadership must align with the broader corporate interest of the country.

He urged Atiku to wait for the right time, suggesting that when it is truly his turn, no one can stop it. Drawing on faith and personal reflection, George noted that sometimes divine timing may not align with personal plans, and that accepting such moments with grace is essential for the peace and progress of the nation.

He said in a live coverage by Symfoni, “I have three beautiful children who are products of Southeast. I beg you. You can’t win all the time. But if it is in the corporate interest of this great nation, please—when the time comes for you, nobody can stop you. The Almighty God has decided that it is your turn. Wait for that your turn. Sometimes you ask God, and He says, No, it’s not your time. Why are you angry? By the time it will be your turn, you won’t even—you know—you won’t have any problems. It shall be well with our country.
