Former Vice President of Nigeria and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has reacted after his former aide, Daniel Bwala said God has not destined him to become the President of Nigeria.
Atiku Abubakar’s statement was contained in a post that was published on the official X handle of PUNCH on Tuesday.
His statement is coming after the Senior Special Assistant on Policy Communication to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said that if he meets him today, he will tell him not to contest any election again and believe in destiny.
Daniel Bwala said that;
“Your Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, you have to believe in destiny. God gives power to whomsoever he chooses”.
However, In the report that surfaced online, the Special Adviser to Atiku Abubakar on Media, Paul Ibe referred to Daniel Bwala as a political opportunist. He said the former Vice President is not seeking validation from people like him.
He was quoted as saying that;
“Atiku Abubakar neither seeks nor requires validation from political opportunists who shed principles as easily as they change parties. Mr. Bwala’s current relevance, if any, is owed entirely to the platform he once occupied under Atiku’s leadership”.
