Former Kano State governor and presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has raised eyebrows with a warning that Nigeria’s political landscape could be heading for a seismic shift.

Speaking in an interview reported by Punch on Monday, July 7, 2025, Kwankwaso hinted that all may not be well within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), despite their confident public posture.

He noted that while the APC may appear united, internal struggles, unspoken grievances, and unmet promises are festering behind closed doors.

“The APC may still be smiling, but what’s brewing behind their doors could change Nigeria,” Kwankwaso stated, suggesting that a silent storm may soon erupt.

He described the current atmosphere as deceptive, warning Nigerians not to be fooled by handshakes and smiles on camera.

According to him, many political actors within the APC are dissatisfied, and the growing tension might soon spill over, with far-reaching implications for governance and national unity.

Kwankwaso emphasized the need for vigilance and political maturity as the country edges toward 2027, adding that power may return to the people sooner than expected.
