Sim Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has spoken about his reason for removing Chidi Awuse from his position as Chairman of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers.
In a video shared by Sahara TV from 3:47, Fubara stated that under the leadership of Awuse, the council produced a calendar for the year 2024 and deliberately refused to include the photographs of the governor and the deputy governor. He said this was a big insult to his administration. He also stated that Awuse’s leadership was ineffective and that he failed to promote good relationships among council members and with the state government.
In Governor Fubara’s words: “An insult was meted to my government, the council produced calendar for Year of Lord 2024 and the governor’s picture and deputy governor’s picture was not in the calendar. I want to ask, does it show any sign that tha chairman is working with my government”…..Sée Móre
