According to a post that was published by DAILY POST on Thursday, the Human Rights Writers Association Of Nigeria, HURIWA has stated that Bayo Onanuga has made it clear that he harbors resentment towards the Igbos.
The group made the statement while speaking about the recent arrest of Amaka Patience by the police in Canada. The group stated that Onanuga’s assertion that Igbos will no longer participate in Lagos election after 2023 has made it abundantly clear that he harbors resentment towards the the Igbo people.
HURIWA said a person like Onanuga has no business holding a strategic communications role in the President’s administration.
According to HURIWA;
“Bayo Onanuga has made it abundantly clear that he harbors deep resentment toward the Igbos, and his statements suggest that he is willing to stoke ethnic tensions in the future. His assertion that Igbos will no longer participate in Lagos politics after 2023 is a clear indication of his agenda to sideline and marginalize a significant ethnic group in Nigeria. Such a person has no business holding a strategic communications role in the President’s administration”….S€€–MÔRÉ
