According to a report that was published on the official X account of THE CABLE on Saturday, Labour Party, LP, chieftain and governor of Abia state, Alex Otti has reacted to defection allegation that was made against him.

According to report, it was stated that the governor of Abia state visited the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma to discuss a possible move to the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Reacting, Alex Otti denied the claim stating that it’s baseless and untrue. In the statement that was released by the spokesperson of the Abia state governor, it was stated that Otti only visited the governor of Imo state to celebrate the birthday of his children.

The Abia state governor stated that he has no plan to join the All Progressive Congress, APC.

According to The Cable, the spokesman of Alex Otti said that;

“After the National Economic Council meeting on Thursday, April 24, Governor Otti and a few of his colleagues joined Governor Uzodinma to attend the birthday celebration of his twin daughters, an event that had nothing to do with politics”.
