Former Senator Shehu Sani, who once served as the representative of Kaduna, voiced his apprehensions about the protests led by lecturers at Alex Ekwueme University. The lecturers were protesting the delay in receiving their 2022 salaries from the Federal Government.

Sani stressed the urgency of addressing this issue promptly. He underscored that an agreement had been reached to compensate the lecturers for the withheld wages due to the strike, and it was crucial for the government to honor this commitment. This statement highlights the significance of upholding agreements with employees, ensuring equitable treatment, and effectively resolving conflicts for the benefit of all parties involved.

On his Verified X page, Sani said, “The protest embarked upon by the lecturers of the Alex Ekwueme University over the failure of the FG to pay their withheld 2022 salaries must be addressed. An agreement has been reached to pay them their wages withheld because of the strike; it should be complied with.”
