Senator Natasha ATA has made startling revelations about the political battles she has faced, especially regarding the five mini LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) projects. According to Natasha, these projects sparked anger in Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who allegedly sought to sabotage her career over them.

Natasha explained that the tension began after the groundbreaking ceremony for the mini LNG projects, which were aimed at boosting development in the Niger Delta region. “The five mini LNG projects angered him,” Natasha said. “He got very upset and called several people in the cabinet, questioning how the project found its way to the north. He said, ‘How can such resources from the Niger Delta be moved to the north, I will stop it,'” she revealed.

She further accused Akpabio of retaliating by removing her from her influential position as chairperson of the Local Content Committee, which she had used to promote northern development projects. “Five days after the groundbreaking ceremony, I was removed from the committee. Akpabio claimed I was promoting the north and had used my position for regional interests,” Natasha said.

In her conversation, Natasha described how Akpabio’s senior legislative aide, Dr. Omi, was tasked with starting a media campaign against the LNG projects. “He commissioned Dr. Omi to launch an online campaign, calling for President Tinubu to cancel the five LNG plants,” Natasha explained. “They wanted to turn public opinion against these critical projects.”

Despite the intense pressure and attempts to undermine her, Natasha remains defiant. “These projects were approved by the president, and they are crucial for Nigeria’s development,” she stated firmly. “I will continue to stand by my principles and ensure that these projects move forward, no matter the opposition.
