According to the report from the Sun. Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has dropped a bombshell, accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of making persistent sêxual advances toward her, even in the presence of her husband. She claims his hostility towards her in the Senate is fueled by her refusal to entertain his alleged romantic interests.

Speaking in a revealing interview on Arise TV’s The Morning Show, she alleged that Akpabio’s inappropriate behavior extended beyond Nigeria.

“My refusal to yield to his advances, both within and outside the country, is the reason behind the victimization I face in the Senate,” she stated.

Recounting an incident on December 8, 2023, a day before their shared birthday, she said they were in Akwa Ibom for Akpabio’s grand celebration. Along with her husband and other associates, they visited his house in Uyo.

“At about 8 p.m, he held my hand and said he wanted to show me around his house. My husband was walking behind us. As we moved from room to room, he kept holding my hand, showing me the interiors. Then he said, ‘Now that you’re a senator, I will create time for us to spend quality moments here. You will enjoy it,’” she recalled.

She said she immediately pulled away, unsettled by the statement, but noticed Akpabio and her husband exchanging glances, seemingly trying to gauge if he had overheard the remark.

That night, at their hotel, her husband asked, “What did the Senate President tell you?” She initially tried to downplay it, but he kept pressing for answers.
