Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi criticised Nigerians on Thursday, July 3, for being too complacent in the face of the hardship they are being subjected to by the ruling class.

Amaechi stated during a public event in Abuja on Thursday, July 3.

“The elites who are stealing Nigerian money are not up to 100,000, but you have 200 million Nigerians who can fight them.

You sit down in your house and complain and grumble. The elites know you’re not happy. But you made yourself helpless.

Nigeria is the most docile society I’ve seen in my life. Any revolution without blood is a failure.

The only way you can stop Tinubu is to run an election of Nigerians versus the bandits”

In what appeared to be a response to his remark, Ms. Yesufu stated that she believes it is hypocritical for politicians to criticise Nigerians and accuse them of being submissive while lounging in their homes.

‘’I find politicians who sit in their comfy homes calling citizens docile for not protesting very hypocritical!

What stops you from leading the protest? You hide with your family in fancy mansions and want citizens to protest for you to waltz your way into power then use police on the citizens when they protest during your tenure?

Stop the cho cho cho and lead protest joor!”
