One of the chieftains of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Lauretta Onochie, took to her official X account on March 16, 2026, to react to a viral video showing a large crowd welcoming former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
This comes after DAILY TRUST reported that a Federal High Court in Abuja had remanded Malami, his wife Hajia Bashir Asabe, and son Abubakar Abdulaziz Malami at Kuje Prison.
Despite this, the video showed several people warmly welcoming the former Attorney General back home.
Reacting to the video, Lauretta Onochie stated that Malami has now returned home.
On her official X account, she wrote:
