The Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Michael Achimugu has revealed what his daughter told him after living in Dakar, Senegal.
This statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
This is coming after an X user compared the currency of Ghana with that of Nigeria.
The X user said that;
“Naira has a better purchasing power than cedis. Naira is better than cedis”.
Reacting to the statement, Michael Achimugu said after his daughter lived in Senegal for few months, she told him that she will never say things are expensive in Nigeria.
Michael Achimugu said things are very affordable in Nigeria compared to many other countries. He said currencies in many African countries have little or no value.
“I have yet to visit a country as affordable as Nigeria. This is not even patriotism. It is my reality. After a few months living in Dakar, Senegal, my eldest daughter said to me; Daddy, I will never say that Nigeria is expensive again.
