The Lagos State Commissioner of Police has revealed that a warrant of arrest was already prepared for Pastor Paul Adefarasin in case he refused to respond to a police invitation. The statement came during an interview on Channels Television, following a viral video from 0.33, showing the pastor pointing what looked like a gun at a content creator who approached him in his vehicle.

According to the Commissioner, a letter of invitation was first sent to Pastor Adefarasin. “In fact, we had prepared a warrant of arrest in case he refused to comply,” he said. “But he turned himself in and was questioned by investigators already working on the case.”

The police explained that what Pastor Adefarasin was seen holding in the video was not a real firearm, but a stock gun— a type of riot control equipment. Although it’s not a regular gun, it is still considered a prohibited item. The police are now investigating why the pastor pointed it at someone.

The individual who was seen in the video being pointed at has been identified as a content creator. Police say they are working on getting his full statement and have already obtained his address.

The case is still under investigation, and the police have promised to keep the public informed. The Commissioner emphasized that proper procedures are being followed to ensure justice is served in the matter.
