Adebayo Adedosu has criticised Peter Obi over his recent stance on the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), saying this is the right moment for Obi to rethink his political direction.
Speaking during an interview from 15:51 on TVC News, Adedosu argued that Obi’s public comments about Nigeria’s challenges weaken his image as someone seeking to lead the country. He suggested that anyone aspiring to the presidency should project confidence in Nigeria rather than highlight its problems in a way that could damage its reputation.
Adedosu also praised Bola Tinubu for his recent international outing, describing it as a move that boosted Nigeria’s image globally. He contrasted this with Obi’s approach, claiming it does not present the country positively on the world stage.
The commentator questioned Obi’s track record, both as a former governor and as a national political figure, arguing that Nigerians should carefully assess the achievements and experience of those seeking top leadership positions.
He further maintained that Obi does not belong in the same category as more established politicians, insisting that comparisons between him and Tinubu are misplaced.
According to Adedosu, Obi needs to step back, seek guidance, and reassess his political strategy if he hopes to remain relevant in the evolving landscape ahead of future elections.
In his words, “I think that this is the safest time for Peter Obi to go back to his special advisor, the madman at Upper Uweka to advise him on his political journey.” Read_More…
