In a video recently shared by TVC, Senator Adams Oshiomhole criticized Ose Anenih, the director of strategy for Asue Ighodalo’s governorship campaign in Edo State.

The disagreement began when Oshiomhole said Ighodalo is not electable because he can’t speak his own native language. In response, Ose Anenih defended Ighodalo by pointing out that his own mother is Igbo and his father is from Edo, and questioned whether this makes him less qualified to run for office in Edo.

However, reacting to Anenih’s statement, Oshiomhole said there is a difference between being eligible to run for office and being electable. He said Ose Anenih once contested in an election in Uromi, the hometown of his late father Anthony Anenih, but was rejected by the local people because he couldn’t communicate effectively with them. He also said Ose Anenih who is the director of strategy for Ighodalo’s campaign was unable to strategize for his own political success

In Oshiomhole’s words: “Anenih is our late father, may his soul continue to rest in peace. But they brought one of his children (Ose Anenih) and he said his mother is Igbo and he is from Uromi, is he not entitled to contest? He didn’t know the difference between eligibility to contest an election and being electable. You are eligible bachelor but you can’t get wife to marry. Ose contested for primaries in Uromi where his own father late Chief Anthony Anenih came from, the people of Uromi refused him because he can’t communicate with them. They rejected him, they dumped him and today he says he is the director of strategy. You are Director of Strategy but you could not strategize for yourself”….Sêe __ Morê
